Palavras ao Mar
Palavras ao Mar (in English: Words to the Sea) is a children's book written by Claudia Nina, with beautiful illustrations made by the Brazilian artist Laura Athayde and lively animated by David Hoffman using the Augmented-Reality app Artivive.
Made for the Brazil-Finland Cultural Center, it tells about the origins and spreading of the Portuguese language in the world in a introductory geo-political. It was created to be used as an educational resource in the Portuguese-speaking embassies around the world.
Personally, this is one of my favorite projects from 2021. It gave me and the team the opportunity to learn a lot about other countries and their culture, as well as creating entertaining content for children, who received the book and the additional coloring contents with joy. I totally recommend checking the online version and trying out all the colorful AR animations.
